Instructors

Red Shift retains only the most highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated instructors. Our staff includes Dan Argano. Dan has 14 years experience in conducting schools he is the C (novice) group lead instructor. Gary Jaehne is a long time instructor. He is an avid street rider who holds 4 AFM titles, and is the author of "Sport Biking for the Real World". You will be able to tap into the expertise of such accomplished instructors as Chuck Sorensen, 3 time 250 GP National Champ, and Tom Montano the "Fastest American on the Isle of Man", and the 2001 AMA Pro Thunder Champ.

Many riders who have trained with our talented team of instructors have gone on to become instructors for other organizations.

Joe Carillo
Joe Carrillo - 5-time AFM 250 Superstreet Champ, and has been instructing since 1994. Joe has also worked as a stunt rider for several movies.
Bobby Fong
Bobby Fong
Bobby has been riding and successfully racing since he was 5 years old! His latest accomplishments include being crowned the 2006 AFM 600 Superbike champion, and 600 Production champion as well as season high point scorer! This year Bobby will be riding for “Safety First Suzuki”, which is a factory sponsored race team based in Chicago. He expects to contest all AMA Supersport/FX events.
Between his busy AMA race schedule he and his seasoned and accomplished manager, Jim Doyle, will be instructing with Red Shift at the following events:
       
  • Laguna Seca, February 18 th, April 2nd, and December 17th & 18th.
  •    
  • Infineon, March 13th and May 3rd.

Jim Doyle
Jim managed and trained Randy Mamola and one of the all time greats, Kenny Roberts Sr.! He has instructed and organized track days at the famed Assen Raceway. Jim has been with us for 8 years.
Krystyna Armstrong
Krystyna currently as a Novice with WERA West.
She became a Red Shift Novice (C) Group instructor in 2005 after being recommended by Chuck Sorensen as instructor material. He was right! When asked the thing that she enjoys about being a Red Shift instructor her reply was, "Watching first time track riders experience the thrill of riding their motorcycle the way it was designed to be ridden!"
Lauren Caputo
Lauren is a Novice (C) Group classroom and on track instructor. He has been with Red Shift since 2005. He has been riding for 20 years and track riding for 10 of those years. When he's not on track he is a Motorcycle Officer for the Police Department, but he leaves his ticket book at home! What he brings with him is a wealth of expertise in the classroom and on the racetrack. He is a super instructor.
Rob Allen
Rob has been  with us for 3 years. He is a multi-tasker and novice group instructor.
Dan Argano
Former Pro Dirt Tracker. Dan has been conducting schools since 1990. He is also a multi-tasker and the novice group lead instructor.
Todd Eagan
Ultra-fast sport bike tester and contributor for several magazines including Sport Bike and Cycle World. Former AMA Pro Dirt-track and Road-racer. Former AMA Pro SuperMoto Race Manager.
John Francis
John has been riding for 30 + years and has been an instructor with us for five years.
Cameron Hill
Cameron brings 24 years of riding experience on 6 different tracks.
Gary Jaehne
Gary holds 4 AFM club titles and is the author of "Sport Biking for the Real World"  Gary has been working with us for many years and is an excellent instructor.
Palmer Lancaster
Palmer works tech and the pre-grid area. He keeps the track schedule on track. Palmer also instructs in the A Group.
Tom Montano
Tom has the distinction of being the fastest American on the Isle of Man and recipient of the coveted "Silver Replica". He was the 2001 AMA Pro Thunder Champion, and an AFM Champ, Tom is a great instructor with much to offer.
Chuck Sorensen
1999 -2000 & 2002 AMA 250 GP National Champ. Chuck has been  with us since 1996, and is an extraordinary instructor.
Jason Perez
Jason was the 2005 AMA Superbike Rookie of the year.
